Characteristics and Applications of Organosilicon Canvas


Organosilicon is an artificially synthesized polymer with silicon and oxygen atoms
as the main chains in its structure. Due to the high bond energy of the silicon oxygen
bonds that make up the main chain, organic silicon polymers have much higher thermal
and oxygen stability than general organic polymers. Although the mechanical
properties of silicone at room temperature are not significantly different from
other materials, it exhibits excellent physical and mechanical properties at highand low temperatures. It undergoes multiple cycles between minus 60 and 250 degrees
Celsius, and its performance is not affected. Some can even be used normally at minus
100 degrees Celsius; It has high and low temperature resistance, electrical
insulation, ozone resistance, radiation resistance, flame retardant, hydrophobic,
corrosion resistance, non-toxic and odorless, and physiological inertness. Nowadays,
organic silicon has been widely used in various industries such as electronics and
electrical, construction, textile, light industry, medical, and has a wide range
of applications in the automotive industry.
The main uses of silicone canvas are:
1、 Can be used as freight tarpaulin for cars, trains, and ships;
2、 Can be used as a cover for outdoor warehouse storage at stations, docks, seaports,
airports, etc;
3、 Can build temporary granaries for outdoor covering of various crops;
4、Can be used as materials for construction sites, power construction sites,
and other construction sites to build sheds and fixed warehouses;
5、 Can be used for training outdoor tents, organic silicon tarpaulins for vehicles,
etc;
6、 Due to its scratch and wear resistance, it is also widely used for metal material
covers and rainproof canvas.
